GMPT Defiance's Massive Furnace Charge System For Sale

After just three years in production, General Motors will be shutting down production of it's malleable iron line at the end of August to make room for two new Precision Sand Casting lines in Plant #2 of their Defiance, Ohio facility.

Included in the list of "available assets" is the entire General Kinematics charge system, one of the largest and most unique systems of it's type in the world. This system was designed by General Kinematics to deliver 15 ton per hour charges to each of two induction melting furnaces. The unique system design incorporates two separate indexing charge cars that each have a vibratory staging feeder as well as a charge feeder with traveling preheat hood. Each of these cars weighs in excess of 250,000 pounds. All equipment is in excellent condition.

Also available are four (4) vibratory storage feeders, weigh feeder, traveling hopper and carriage, as well as a complete alloy addition system. For a complete list of equipment and contact information, call or email our office.
